For Individuals
A REP Number™ is a portable, third-party credential for non-hospital procedural workers — sales representatives, clinical specialists, service engineers, distributor representatives. It is independent of any employer; it follows you between companies; it is recognised by accredited hospitals as third-party evidence of Hospital Competency.
How to get one
- Confirm eligibility. Your sponsoring Company must hold an Active Company Number™. If yours does not yet, ask them to apply.
- Schedule the exam. Through the testing provider (currently Prometric or equivalent). The exam is calibrated to the twelve HWASC domains.
- Sit the exam at your designated proficiency tier. Results travel directly from the testing provider to HVC — no employer in the path.
- Receive your REP Number™. On pass, you are issued a unique non-sequential identifier and a verification record.
What you can do with it
- Share your verification page. Send a hospital or surveyor the canonical URL. The page renders on any device, no login required.
- Show a QR code at the vendor desk. Open your verification page on a phone and present the QR; the receptionist scans and verifies in seconds.
- Carry it between employers. If you move companies, your REP Number™ remains yours — the Linkage changes; the Hospital Competency does not.
Recertification
Currency periods are scheme-committee deliverables, but expect a multi-year cycle with currency-maintenance activities between recertifications.
